A stable core is the prerequisite for the effective, technically correct execution of many sport-specific movements. Furthermore, a certain minimum level of core strength is necessary in order to correctly and safely carry out strength training with additional weights. The basic core strength test measures whether your core musculature is sufficiently strong. It is based on Swiss Olympic criteria.

The core test evaluates the selective activation of the core, pelvic and back muscles. We use different concepts for this purpose that can be tailored individually to analyse specific problem areas. These include functional movement screening (FMS), movement control tests, and our own in-house core and leg-axis tests. Core strength is important for almost all sporting disciplines as well as for preventing back pain and misdirected strain. In addition, leg axis stability can also be analysed. |

An isokinetic test is used to measure the speed and resistance of a movement at a joint and the strength of the muscles around the joint. Most frequently, knees, ankles, hips and shoulders are tested. Standardised test positions make it possible to compare the left and right sides objectively, for example, revealing possible muscle deficits or imbalances. These can be improved preventively or exercised specifically in the case of a past injury or as a result of degeneration.

The lactate threshold test involves measuring lactate concentration in the blood, heart rate and sense of exertion during a stress phase. These values can be used to determine the exact pulse range (intensity) within which training should be completed. A lactate threshold test is used to optimise training intensity and training plans for endurance athletes such as runners, cyclists and triathletes. Furthermore, it makes it possible to evaluate athletes’ fitness levels and performance and identify problems such as overtraining, injuries and illness. |

Vertical jump testing is used to determine an individual’s lower body strength by having them jump on a vertical jump mat. The results can help to identify weaknesses or muscular imbalances that require specific training or rehabilitation programmes.

Resting metabolic rate measurement is a method for determining the energy that the body requires to work at rest. It can help individuals to gain a better understanding of their daily calorie needs and it offers an individual estimate of a person’s daily energy needs. This type of measurement can therefore provide useful information for weight loss or weight gain and can also serve as a basis for nutritional advice and personal training. For a particularly reliable measurement, the test should be carried out in the morning on an empty stomach.

Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) is a method for measuring body fat, muscle mass and body water. The results help to determine the body composition and monitor it over time. They can also be used to track the process of a training programme either in terms of weight loss or increase in muscle mass.

Back to Sports testing is used to evaluate the risk of repeat injury before an athlete returns to training after an injury or an operation. The test consists of a series of individually selected exercises and tests that are tailored to the requirements of the type of sport in question and the specific injury that the athlete has sustained. The test can help to evaluate and guarantee the athlete’s progress during the healing and rehabilitation processes.

Functional tests are used to analyse different test movements depending on the sport in question. This allows the trainer to draw conclusions as to an individual’s strength and flexibility. The results are then used to create an at-home training programme that allows the individual to target their weaknesses and feel better in their own body.
